Cybersecurity Consultant

We are seeking a highly skilled cybersecurity consultant with experience in implementing NIST 800-171 controls in a defense contractor environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert guidance on cybersecurity strategies, policies, and procedures. They will work with our clients to ensure compliance with federal regulations and industry best practices.

  • Conduct assessments of our clients’ cybersecurity posture to identify vulnerabilities and recommend solutions.
  • Develop and implement cybersecurity strategies, policies, and procedures based on NIST 800-171 controls.
  • Assist in the development of security plans, risk assessments, and security assessment plans.
  • Provide guidance to clients on security incident response procedures and assist in incident response efforts.
  • Provide training to clients on cybersecurity best practices and regulatory compliance.
  • Participate in the development and execution of security awareness programs for clients.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging trends in cybersecurity and provide recommendations for new tools and technologies.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in cybersecurity consulting or related field.
  • Expert knowledge of NIST 800-171 controls and experience implementing them in a defense contractor environment.
  • Strong understanding of federal cybersecurity regulations, including DFARS and FAR.
  • Experience with security assessment and penetration testing tools.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Certifications such as CISSP, CISA, or GIAC.
  • Experience working with clients in the defense industry.
  • Familiarity with cloud security and compliance frameworks such as FedRAMP.

Senior Cybersecurity Consultant With CMMC Experience

Our company is seeking a highly skilled Senior Cybersecurity Consultant with expertise in Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide strategic advice, guidance and support to our clients to ensure their cybersecurity and compliance requirements are met. The Senior Cybersecurity Consultant will work closely with clients to identify, assess, and mitigate cybersecurity risks, recommend solutions and provide ongoing support to ensure their cybersecurity posture is robust and resilient.

  • Provide cybersecurity expertise and guidance to clients on CMMC compliance requirements, standards and best practices.
  • Conduct risk assessments, vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify cybersecurity risks and recommend mitigation measures.
  • Develop and implement cybersecurity policies, procedures and controls to ensure compliance with CMMC and other industry standards.
  • Conduct cybersecurity awareness training for clients to promote a culture of security and compliance.
  • Participate in audits and assessments to ensure clients’ compliance with CMMC and other cybersecurity regulations.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to develop and implement incident response plans and procedures.
  • Keep up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies to ensure clients’ cybersecurity posture is current and effective.
  • Provide thought leadership on cybersecurity issues to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • At least 7 years of experience in cybersecurity consulting or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of CMMC and other cybersecurity regulations and standards.
  • Demonstrated experience in conducting cybersecurity risk assessments, vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
  • Experience in developing and implementing cybersecurity policies, procedures, and controls.
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to interact with clients at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, CEH, or others are highly desirable.
